Meet the Staff…
Pastor Sean Koos
Pastor Sean Koos came to us in Nov 2019 after serving in rural Nebraska for 5.5 years. He earned his M.Div. degree from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN and his bachelor’s degree from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL. Prior to his calling into ministry, he served in the Air Force and was stationed in Texas, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Nevada, and North Dakota. He is an oblate at the St. Scholastica monastery in Duluth and enjoys singing with a variety of local choirs. He also likes to oil paint, read, and golf. He has a busy household with wife, Johanna (Jo), 3 teenage kids (Samantha-15, Jamie-14, and Lincoln-12) and an older daughter, Tori-27 (living in the Lincoln, NE), a dog (Gus), 5 cats (Thalia, Zelda, Phineas, Shadow, and Weasley), and 8 mice that refuse to die! He performs weddings, funerals, baptisms, and confirmations in addition to weekly services. He would love getting to know you and helping you grow in your faith.
Linda Gran – Secretary
Our Savior’s Lutheran Church Secretary since October 2024, replacing Doris Maki who moved out of town. Linda has been a life-long member of OSLC. She volunteered as a Sunday School teacher when her kids were young, plus has served on the Board of Trustees and has been a volunteer Treasurer for many years. She is semi-retired from working her 40+ hour job at Fraser Shipyards. She brings wealth of experience in bookkeeping and managing staff and projects. When she isn’t working she is usually outside finding something to do; pulling weeks in her garden, feeding her chickens, walking her dogs or cutting the grass.
Johanna Holonen
Johanna Holonen plays the piano for worship and accompanies the choir. She is married to Josh and together, they are remodeling the house they recently purchased in Poplar. Johanna made sure the new house had room for both the grand piano and a dining table.
