About Our Savior’s Lutheran Church
Our Savior’s is a welcoming community. It is a place of laughter and joy but it is also a place where tears are welcome. We are honest about the struggles and brokenness of life and we believe that it is in these places of brokenness that Christ enters our lives and our world. Worship is the center of our lives together. It is where we encounter the living Word of God, sing our praise and offer our heartfelt prayers. We celebrate communion at every service, tasting the forgiveness and acceptance of Jesus.
Education Programs
Local Outreach
Every Sunday we collect items for various organizations, such as CASDA and the Salvation Army. In the summer months we collect school supplies that we give away every August in our annual Backpack giveaway.
We always take donations of new or gently used bras for CASDA, as well as black dress clothes for the SHS band/orchestra students.
We currently have a clothes closet with clothing for sizes newborn to kids size 12. Donations are always welcome, and people are invited to come and take the clothes they need.
The quilters are always in need of donations. We can use:
- Cotton or cotton blend fabric, including used fabric in good condition like:
Sheets, Drapes, Table cloths, Shower curtains - Thread
- Yarn
- Any top bed sheet in good condition. These we use for the back of quilts
Place items in the container under the Mission & Outreach table found in the entry marked quilters, the quilters closet downstairs in the donation container or the church office.
